City of Benicia at the Gateway of the California Delta
The City of Benicia is located next to the Carquinez Strait, the waterway that connects the Sacramento Delta to the San
Francisco Bay Area. It is a small waterfront city that was founded in 1847 that has mild weather throughout the year.
Geographically Benicia residents have easy access to the major cities of the Bay Area via nearby freeways 680 & 780. Boat
access is available with two boat ramps and marina.

California Main Street Community since 1987)
gives all residents and visitors alike a chance to enjoy
hometown hospitality with unique shopping and eating experience that only Benicia can offer.
The commercial side of Benicia host many commercial businesses at the former Benicia Arsenal with the Exxon Refinery nearby.
